Buxton Bear has visited Eastgate House, Rochester today to inspect the works to the roof, and the new lift shaft extension. Whilst there he also checked on the progress of the internal 2nd fix joinery currently being installed.

The works to Eastgate House are due to complete early next year, and include essential repairs to the roof, windows and floors with new heating and lighting installed throughout.

Access for visitors will also be improved with a new lift to the upper floors and the reinstatement of a staircase that was removed more than a century ago.
