A touch of Hollywood glamour

In a significant step for Saltdean Lido's refurbishment, We have positioned a new replica chimney, marking a pivotal moment in the restoration journey. Today, the Lido's iconic sign, reminiscent of its 1938 'New Hollywood' design, shines brightly once again. Reimagined with modern tubular L.E.D lights, the sign replaces the original lost during WW2, symbolising the Lido's resilience and the community's dedication to preserving its legacy.

With the support of National Lottery Heritage Funding, the Grade II* listed Art Deco building is being transformed. Soon, it will house an event space, a library, a community hub, and more, ensuring the Lido remains a cherished community gem for generations to come.

Earlier in the year - wrapped in scaffold
