Digital Construction: How We Use Procore Across Our Sites

Procore is well established across our construction projects and has become an important part of how our teams access, manage and record information on site.

One of the biggest benefits is straightforward access to the latest drawings and project information. Using phones and tablets, our site teams can access current drawings wherever they are on the project, mark them up and record information against them without relying on printed copies or returning to the site office.

The Site Diary provides a consistent daily record of activity, including labour, deliveries, progress and site conditions, while photographs can be uploaded directly to build an accurate record as the project progresses.

Quality and health and safety inspections can be completed within Procore, helping us maintain consistent records and address issues as they arise. Observations and snagging can also be recorded, with photographs and locations linked to drawings and actions assigned and tracked through to close-out.

RFIs can be raised and managed within the platform, keeping design queries and responses alongside the wider project information. Programmes, documents, meetings, correspondence and other key rec

ords can also be managed within Procore, giving our project teams a central source of information.

We continue to develop how we use the platform. This includes looking at procurement reporting to provide better visibility of key packages, information and delivery requirements, as well as further digitising our project forms and processes to reduce paperwork and duplication.

We are also developing how Procore can support project completion and handover, bringing together O&M information, certification, commissioning records, as-built information and other completion documentation in a structured digital format.

Looking further ahead, we are exploring how AI can be integrated into our digital processes to help teams find, understand and use project information more efficiently.

The aim is not to introduce technology for its own sake. It is to make established processes more efficient, improve the quality and consistency of our records and continue developing how we manage information from the start of a project through to completion and handover.
