Guildford Crematorium wins top prize in RIBA South East Category

Guildford Crematorium built by Buxton for Guildford Borough Council has won the top prize in the RIBA South East category.

Works involved the replacement of the original 1965 crematorium building set within a developed landscape. The building and landscaping provide a calming environment for the bereaved and an improved flow around the building.

Designed by Haverstock, Buxton made sure the Crematorium remained operational throughout the project through to successful handover.
