Piling begins at Vincentians Presbytery

JANUARY 2023

CFA piling has started at Vincentians Presbytery, where 49No piles are being installed.

DECEMBER 2022 Asbestos has been removed and the access scaffold and protected enclosure are being dismantled, ready for the old presbytery building to be demolished.

Buxton has been appointed by the Vincentian Fathers, a historic French religious community, to work with them on the redevelopment of their existing Presbytery building. The plans to replace and modernise the Presbytery represent the Vincentian Community’s reaffirmation of its commitment to serving in Mill Hill and elsewhere in London and throughout Britain in the future.

Work will involve the demolition of the existing building and associated site clearance followed by the construction of a new 3-storey presbytery building to provide new accommodation, living, prayer, and ancillary space.

We will also provide a single-storey extension to the existing church to provide new office and ancillary spaces. There are associated site works including alterations to services and drainage along with re-landscaping.

The proposed building is planned around a peaceful central courtyard and a small chapel. Living spaces are more private as users pass deeper into, and further up, the building. Each suite is designed as a contemporary private living and working space for a priest. These are supplemented by generous communal spaces on the ground floor.
