The Best Neighbour a Site Could Ask For

Over the past two years, we've been fortunate to have an exceptional neighbour in Marjorie.

During that time, our team has been carefully transforming The Grove, a historic former rectory dating from the 1820s, into 10 high-quality homes for Sutton Living. Working on a project of this nature brings a steady stream of deliveries, contractors and visitors, making supportive neighbours all the more appreciated.

Living right beside our delivery gate, she has shown us nothing but kindness, patience, and generosity throughout the project. With the constant flow of deliveries, contractors and visitors, there have been countless occasions where someone has knocked on her door by mistake or interrupted her day. Despite this, she has always greeted everyone with a smile.

Marjorie has regularly let us know when deliveries have been left at the gate, helping ensure important items reached site safely. It's a small gesture that has made a big difference, and one that perfectly reflects the thoughtful person she is.

Construction projects can sometimes be disruptive for those living nearby, so having such an understanding and supportive neighbour has meant a great deal to our entire team.

As a small token of our appreciation, we were delighted to present Marjorie with a gift hamper on behalf of everyone at Buxton Building Contractors. It is a simple way of saying thank you for everything she has done for us over the past two years. Her kindness, patience and support have never gone unnoticed, and we hope the hamper shows just how much we have appreciated having such a wonderful neighbour.
