Well Done Ben!

Hi, I'm Ben Marshall, an Assistant Surveyor at Buxton. I recently earned a 1st Class Hons Degree in Quantity Surveying from Kingston University. I began my apprenticeship with Buxton in 2018 and since then, I've worked on a diverse range of projects, including residential developments, museums, schools, and heritage sites. Each project introduced me to new responsibilities, shaping my professional growth.

My apprenticeship spanned 5 years: a 2-year college course for an HNC, followed by 3 years at Kingston University for my degree. Balancing work with education gave me a unique advantage. The hands-on experience at Buxton enriched my academic pursuits, allowing me to apply practical insights to my coursework. Throughout this journey, Buxton's consistent support ensured I maximised my learning.

As part of my experience, I also spent a few months in our Buying department as well as spending a year in site management to help gain an understanding on how that side of the business operates.

While there were challenges along the way, my time at Buxton has been rewarding. I'm eager to see what the next chapter of my career holds.
