We’re pleased to have started work at 43–47 Mecklenburgh Square for Goodenough College.
The Grade II listed townhouses are to be refurbished and reconfigured internally, with improvements to the spatial efficiency of the flat arrangements. The building fabric will be upgraded to improve both thermal efficiency and fire regulation performance.

The internal fit-out will include new electrical and mechanical installations, updated fixtures and fittings, and new kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms, delivered in keeping with the style and quality of the original houses, while retaining and refurbishing key heritage features.
Externally, the buildings are to be brought into good condition and made watertight. New sash windows will be fitted throughout, and the lower ground floor stucco will be removed and replaced as part of the waterproofing strategy. Roof finishes will be surveyed and repaired or replaced as required, along with wider repairs to stucco, brickwork, balconies, joinery, drainpipes, and drains.
The works also include external redecoration and landscaping, all carried out in keeping with the historic Grade II listed nature of the buildings.
We look forward to progressing the project in collaboration with the client team, including Greenwood Projects Ltd, MICA Architects, HRW, MEP, Sharps Redmore, Bureau Veritas, and SOCOTEC.
