Buxton delivered a two-stage negotiated design and build project for a new two-storey, 60-bed nursing care home at Heron’s Ghyll for Manor Garden Villages. The development provides high-quality residential care accommodation alongside a range of communal and support facilities. These include visitor areas, lounges, dining spaces, a commercial kitchen, treatment rooms, laundry facilities, and general office accommodation to support day-to-day operations. Additional amenities were incorporated to enhance resident wellbeing and quality of life, including a dedicated cinema room, hair salon, and therapy spaces, creating a varied and engaging environment for residents and visitors alike. The project was delivered to programme and budget, with a strong focus on build quality, site organisation, and stakeholder communication throughout. Client feedback reflected the positive working relationship and delivery approach: “We found the whole experience of working with you extremely enjoyable and stress free. On all our visits to the site we found it to be tidy and the work being carried out in a professional way.
