Clinical Care
Refurbishment
Ref:
A0692
Buxton delivered a full refurbishment and fit-out project to part of the lower ground floor at King’s College Hospital, creating a new centralised endoscopy facility.
The works included the strip-out and refurbishment of existing office accommodation, toilets and kitchen areas, alongside new extensions to form a purpose-built clinical environment. The project incorporated full mechanical and electrical services upgrades to support specialist endoscopy equipment and clinical operations.
Careful planning was required to integrate the new facility within an existing hospital setting, with close coordination around access, logistics and service interfaces to ensure the works were delivered safely and efficiently.
During the project, Buxton also supported the Trust’s environmental objectives. The Trust’s Project Manager formally thanked the team for their assistance in providing information to support their ISO 14001 environmental accreditation, highlighting the importance of collaborative working beyond the core construction scope.
Client feedback reflected the high standard of site management and professionalism:
“On behalf of the Trust I just want to thank Buxton’s, especially Dave, for assisting our environmental team in supplying the requested information in a very prompt manner. It is very important for the Trust to pass the ISO 14001 accreditation.
I don’t even have to ask Dave to keep the site tidy as it is always immaculate on a daily basis. The Trust do pick up on these things and it is very much appreciated.”
