Buxton Building Contractors completed the refurbishment and upgrade of the swimming pool facilities at Lancing College in West Sussex. The project improved performance, durability and user experience while extending the life of a key sports facility within the College campus. The works included the renewal of pool finishes and tiling, upgrades to specialist pool plant and building services where required, and associated repairs to the pool hall fabric. A significant element of the project was the complete re-tiling of the pool basin and surrounds, providing a renewed finish and improved water line to meet modern performance expectations. The project was delivered within an operational school environment and required careful coordination of access, deliveries and sequencing to manage interfaces with adjacent facilities. Buxton worked closely with the College throughout the programme to minimise disruption and ensure the continued operation of the wider campus.
