Buxton was appointed to deliver new accommodation at St Paul’s Cathedral School, the preparatory and chorister school located alongside St Paul’s Cathedral. The project provides enhanced living spaces for pupils and staff, carefully designed to suit the demands of a busy residential school environment. Works included extensive specialist joinery within the bedrooms, with bespoke fitted furniture, storage, and detailed finishes tailored to the needs of boarding pupils. This helped create durable, practical spaces while maintaining a high-quality appearance. Buxton also engaged with the school community during the build, including supervised site tours for pupils, offering an insight into construction in a live environment. As part of staff development, Mia Day, one of Buxton’s management apprentices, spent time on site gaining practical experience alongside the project team. The scheme demonstrates Buxton’s experience delivering education projects in sensitive, operational settings, with a strong focus on quality and coordination.
