Buxton delivered the new-build Macmillan Cancer Support East Surrey Centre, creating a purpose-built facility designed to support people living with cancer, their families, and clinical teams. The centre was developed to provide calm, welcoming spaces for consultation, support, and wellbeing. The works included the construction and full fit-out of clinical rooms, private consultation areas, staff facilities, and public spaces, all designed around comfort, accessibility, and dignity. Finishes were carefully selected to create a warm, non-clinical environment while meeting healthcare performance requirements. A defining feature of this project was the scale of charity and community engagement undertaken by the Buxton team. Alongside the build, staff organised and took part in multiple fundraising activities in support of Macmillan. These efforts raised an impressive £16,604, directly supporting the charity’s work with people affected by cancer. Sponsored challenges, site initiatives, and team events brought together colleagues, partners, and the local community around a shared cause. This project demonstrates Buxton’s commitment not only to delivering high-quality healthcare facilities, but also to making a tangible difference through long-term charity partnerships and meaningful social value.
