Derek Gillott

Derek leads the procurement and supply chain function across the business, supporting projects from pre-construction through to delivery. He ensures materials and specialist packages are procured in line with programme, budget, and technical requirements.

Working closely with commercial, design, site, and finance teams, he helps maintain clear communication across live projects. His experience includes high-value and higher-risk procurement, negotiating call-off arrangements, and building long-term supplier relationships.

He also supports the development of others within the business, including apprentice quantity surveyors and site managers, helping embed sound procurement and risk management practices. Alongside his core role, he has a strong interest in improving processes through technology and data, and outside work enjoys walking and mountain biking.
