Derek Gillott

Derek leads the procurement and supply chain function across the business. He supports projects from pre-construction through to delivery, ensuring materials and specialist packages are procured in line with programme, budget, and technical requirements.

Working closely with commercial, design, site, and finance teams, Derek helps to maintain clear communication across live projects. His experience includes managing high-value and higher-risk procurement, negotiating call-off arrangements, and building strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.

Derek also supports the development of others within the business, including apprentice quantity surveyors and site managers, helping embed sound procurement and risk management practices. Alongside his core role, he has a strong interest in improving processes through technology and data.

Outside work, Derek enjoys walking and mountain biking.
