Healthcare & Veterinary
Buxton has been delivering quality construction services to the health sector for a number of years. Through establishing specialist teams within the business we have built an extensive knowledge base of health care construction know-how, proven methods of delivery and reliable results. Part of this has been acknowledging that early collaboration is vital and that integrating early with key members of the health sector project team, the health care staff and stakeholders will result in project success.
With a talented Planning Manager who fully understands the needs of health care clients and the need for flexibility, we are continually exceeding our health care clients’ expectations now, in real time projects carried out in live hospital sites.
We, as the main contractor, acknowledge that we are not the most important factor in a health care project; it is all about patient care and the hospital’s day to day operations which must be held at the fore so that we accommodate their needs before our own objectives.
The project for Prof. Noel Fitzpatrick, consisted of the demolition and site clearance of a single storey Barn building used as an overflow for the Veterinary Practice.
We constructed a new two storey purpose built hospital wing and two storey link to connect with the adjacent existing building.
Associated external works created a new pedestrian access, hard and soft landscapes areas and a redeveloped car park.
We installed new M&E systems, adapted the existing mains water supply and improved technology links between the existing and new building.
