Dozens of residents were welcomed into their new homes at a special completion event at Farmstead Road in Bellingham, marking the successful delivery of this housing project by Buxton.

David Norman, Managing Director of Buxton, stated: "Buxton are proud to have delivered the project for Phoenix Community Housing, providing high-quality, sustainable homes for their residents, whilst also supporting wider community social value criteria during the course of the development."
The Farmstead Road development, designed by Metropolitan Workshop, features 18 affordable rental homes and six shared ownership properties built to the Passivhaus standard. This ensures energy efficiency, helping residents reduce energy costs while addressing environmental challenges like fuel poverty and climate change.

Denise Fowler, Chief Executive of Phoenix Community Housing, celebrated the milestone, saying: "It was fantastic to welcome residents into their new homes and to celebrate the completion of this beautifully designed scheme. Having a high-quality home makes such a difference to people’s lives, and we’re already seeing a lovely community forming here."
This project reflects Buxton’s commitment to sustainable development and social impact, reinforcing its legacy of delivering innovative, community-focused housing solutions.
