We’re pleased to announce the completion of the Farmstead Road development in Bellingham, south London, delivering 24 much-needed affordable homes for Phoenix Community Housing.

Built on the site of former dwellings at 56–60 Farmstead Road, this back garden infill scheme involved the demolition of all existing buildings and the construction of three new three-storey blocks.

The new homes include a mix of 16 two-bedroom and 8 three-bedroom flats, along with associated works such as hard and soft landscaping, bin and cycle stores, five car parking spaces, and a new electricity substation.

All homes have been designed to meet Passivhaus Low Energy Building Standard, ensuring improved air quality, thermal comfort, and long-term energy performance. The project forms part of Phoenix’s wider commitment to sustainable regeneration on the historic Bellingham Estate.

Buxton was proud to act as principal contractor on this scheme, working closely with the full project team to deliver high standards of quality and performance throughout.
