The directors and staff of Buxton would like to wish our Project Manager, John Gothard, a long, healthy and very happy retirement.
Since joining Buxton on 14 June 2010, John has been a valued member of the team, earning a reputation for his professionalism, determination and genuine passion for construction.

Clients, consultants and colleagues alike have appreciated his hands-on approach, wealth of experience and commitment to delivering projects successfully, no matter what challenges arose along the way.
John has never been afraid to roll his sleeves up, tackle problems head-on and do whatever was needed to get a project over the line. His enthusiasm, can-do attitude and willingness to support others have earned him the respect of colleagues throughout the business and many lasting relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
Looking back on his career with Buxton, John spoke warmly of the people he has worked alongside over the past 16 years. He thanked colleagues across the business, from project teams to the office support staff, recognising the role everyone plays in helping projects succeed. Those words reflect the team spirit that John himself has always brought to every project.

While John leaves behind an impressive portfolio of projects, it is the impact he has had on the people around him that will be remembered most. We thank him for his hard work, commitment and friendship over the years, and wish him a long, healthy and thoroughly enjoyable retirement.
Although we're sure he won't miss every programme update, site meeting or last-minute phone call, we hope he enjoys a well-earned lie-in, watching the World Cup with a Perfect draught close by, knowing he no longer has to get up at the crack of dawn.
Happy retirement, John. You will be greatly missed by everyone at Buxton.
