Sustainable Accommodation for a Buddhist Community

Buxton Building Contractors has been appointed to deliver the construction of five new Passive House buildings for a Buddhist community, together with associated infrastructure, landscaping and external works.

Designed to achieve exceptionally high standards of energy efficiency and environmental performance, the development will provide high-quality accommodation.

A key feature of the project is the use of Modern Methods of Construction, with the buildings being manufactured off-site as highly insulated timber structures before being transported to site for installation.

This approach helps improve quality, reduce waste, minimise site activity and provide greater certainty in programme delivery, while supporting the project's ambitious sustainability objectives.

Buxton will be working alongside the project team, including Mole Architects, Beacon Surveying Services Ltd, Simple Works, E3 Consulting Engineers LLP, Salus and Anna French Associates, to deliver the scheme.
