We are excited to be involved in the redevelopment of The Canons House & Grounds in Mitcham.
This community project has been awarded monies raised by National Lottery players and awarded through the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and Big Lottery Fund. The house, grounds, dovecote, pond and recreation ground are owned by Merton Council, who will be undertaking the project.
The National Lottery funded project will run for two years and includes both a major capital works project and a series of events and activities focused on community engagement.
Buxton will be involved in the refurbishment of Canons House a 17th Century Grade II* Listed Georgian House and the restoration of a 500 year old chalk block Dovecote built circa 1511.
We will also be adding a new Café Extension to Madeira Hall and carrying out hard landscaping works adjacent.
