World Environment Day 2023

World Environment Day is the biggest international day for the environment. Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and held annually since 1973, it has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental outreach. It is celebrated by millions of people across the world.

World Environment Day 2023 is hosted by Côte d'Ivoire and supported by the Netherlands and the theme will focus on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution. It is a reminder that people’s actions on plastic pollution matter. The steps governments and businesses are taking to tackle plastic pollution are the consequence of this action.

Join millions around the world to #BeatPlasticPollution.

Today we will be promoting our involvement with the Supplychain Sustainability School and running events throughout the entire week.

The school is completely FREE and allows you to access training in a wealth of different areas including Sustainability, Digital, FIR, Lean Construction, Management, Offsite, People, and Procurement. You also can attend their training and networking events, gain CPD points, complete a self-assessment and get a bespoke action plan, complete e-learning modules, and various training resources.

The school is an award-winning industry-wide collaboration, led by our Partners and Members whose Vision for the School is to be:

“An industry where everyone will have the skills and knowledge to deliver a sustainable future.”
