Apprenticeships
Building a skilled and motivated workforce starts with creating the right opportunities at an early stage. At Buxton, we are committed to supporting young people who want to build a career in construction through structured training and real-world experience.
We actively encourage school leavers and college students to join our apprenticeship programmes, providing them with practical skills, industry knowledge, and ongoing support to succeed in the workplace.
Our apprenticeships in Quantity Surveying, Site Management, and Estimating combine hands-on site experience with structured learning and professional mentoring, ensuring individuals develop both technically and personally.
This approach helps apprentices build confidence, competence, and a clear understanding of their chosen profession.
By investing in emerging talent, we are also strengthening the future of the construction industry.

Our Apprenticeship Programme
A Buxton apprenticeship offers a structured and supportive route into a long-term career in construction. Apprentices can benefit from programmes lasting up to five years, providing stability, progression, and a clear development pathway.
You will follow a chosen career route in Quantity Surveying, Site Management, or Estimating, allowing you to specialise in an area that matches your interests and strengths. Throughout the programme, college and university tuition fees are fully funded, removing the burden of student debt and enabling you to focus on your studies and professional development.
Apprentices receive continuous on-the-job training, working alongside experienced professionals who provide mentoring, guidance, and practical support. This ensures learning is directly linked to real projects and day-to-day industry challenges.
The scheme follows an ‘earn while you learn’ model, allowing apprentices to gain qualifications while earning a salary. This creates strong motivation to perform well, develop skills, and achieve career goals.
Buxton currently supports several apprentices at different stages of their training, each developing their abilities and realising their potential within the business. This reflects our long-term commitment to nurturing talent and investing in the future of the construction industry.
