Goodenough College is holding its annual Giving Day today and tomorrow, bringing together Members, Alumni, friends, and supporters to raise funds for the Room to Grow campaign. The campaign focuses on restoring and refurbishing a row of Georgian terrace houses on Mecklenburgh Square, providing more affordable accommodation for outstanding postgraduate students each year.
As the contractor currently delivering the refurbishment of 43–47 Mecklenburgh Square, we are pleased to support this initiative. Our work includes sensitive internal reconfiguration of the Grade II listed townhouses, upgrades to thermal performance and fire safety, new M&E installations, and careful restoration of key heritage features. Externally, the buildings are being made watertight with new sash windows, repairs to roof finishes, stucco, brickwork, joinery, and landscaping, all carried out in keeping with the historic character of the square.
The Giving Day aims to help the College welcome 60 additional postgraduate students annually by expanding and improving its estate. Any contribution, large or small, supports the long-term development of the College and the opportunities it creates for future scholars.
We are pleased to make a donation and invite others to join us in supporting Goodenough College’s Giving Day.
