It has been a year since Buxton Building Contractors completed the new ND Innovation Space at Notre Dame School in Cobham.
This modern, purpose-built facility was designed to place STEM at the heart of the school’s curriculum, giving students access to cutting-edge tools and spaces to develop essential skills. The building provides state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, and specialist areas where pupils can design rockets using CAD software, build robots with laser cutters, and create podcasts and films using green-screen technology.
The project was formally opened in November 2024, with staff, alumnae, parents, and the wider project team attending the event. Since then, the Innovation Space has quickly become a central hub for teaching and learning, supporting the school’s vision of equipping its students with the creativity, technical ability, and confidence needed for the future.
We are proud to have played a role in delivering this transformative building and to see it making a real impact one year on.
