The front façade of 66-72 New Cavendish Street within the Harley Street Conservation area was retained and temporarily supported whilst the entire structure behind was carefully demolished.

 
The footprint of the site was replaced with a new steel frame bearing on new foundations and underpinning to existing walls.  The construction comprised composite floors, 2 concrete lift/stair cores, a brick envelope to the rear, a new roof structure, and internal partitioning.

The building was then be fully fitted out to provide 18 high-specification residential apartments.  

 

The entire building spans over 6 floors from lower ground, ground, and four storeys above.

 

This is our second project for Howard de Walden Estate and we continue to tender for more opportunities with this client.
