Buxton have recently completed the removal of the façade support steelwork and gantry structure at our project at New Cavendish Street.
The work was undertaken over a 4 week period, including the progressive removal of 150 tonnes of pre-cast concrete planks and 85 tonne of steelwork, all of which was loaded onto articulated vehicles using a 60 tonne mobile crane and removed from site for recycling.
The works necessitated careful planning of the removal process with traffic management arrangements implemented in agreement with Westminster City Council Highways Department to ensure single lane traffic was maintained in New Cavendish Street and pedestrian diversion introduced to ensure the safety of the general public was maintained at all times.
Removal of the concrete kentledge has since been completed with the works to the pavement lightwell and vaults ongoing to house the new incoming services for the 66-72 New Cavendish Street development comprising 18 nr high end residential units for Howard de Walden Estates.
