As we look ahead to 2026, it’s worth taking a moment to reflect on what was delivered during 2025.
During the year, Buxton continued to invest in systems, training, and accreditations, while maintaining established standards across safety, quality, environmental performance, and community engagement.
Across operations, the focus remained on consistency. Procore began to be introduced to support existing processes around drawings, documents, site records, quality, and safety, and continues to be rolled out alongside established ways of working.
Competence and safety remained strong. CSCS scores increased across site teams, supported by ongoing training. CHSG Fire Safety training was delivered, RoSPA accreditation was retained once again, and ISO management systems were reviewed and renewed through to 2029, confirming continued compliance across quality, environmental management, and health and safety.
Environmental performance and innovation continued to develop. The use of zero-emission electric plant increased across sites, alongside the introduction of robotic plant where appropriate, supporting safer and more efficient working while reducing local emissions. Community Wood Recycling was further rolled out on projects, diverting timber from landfill while supporting local employment and training. Investment in new air-leakage testing equipment strengthened capability in low-energy and Passivhaus-level construction.
People and skills remained a consistent focus. Work experience placements and site visits were delivered throughout the year, including ongoing engagement at The Grove, Carshalton, where students from local training providers were welcomed onto site to learn about construction stages, site safety, and career routes. Careers talks and workshops were also delivered in schools and colleges, alongside attendance at youth employment events.
Wellbeing activity was handled in a practical way. World Mental Health Day was recognised internally through an awareness event, and mental health awareness sessions were delivered on site at Grosvenor Gardens by the NHS, involving both Buxton teams and the supply chain. Wider participation in Wear It Green Day and Wear It Pink Day also continued.

Community involvement remained steady and locally focused. Project teams supported foodbanks through donations, surplus materials were donated to education providers to support practical learning, and Buxton continued its support of Coulsdon Celtics FC for a further season.
Meet the Buyer events were attended to maintain engagement with local and regional suppliers and keep opportunities accessible. Much of this activity was delivered in collaboration with our clients and supply chain partners on live projects.
Internally, a staff roadshow was held in March, bringing teams together to review progress, share lessons learned, and align priorities. Buxton also exhibited at the Kent Construction Expo and the South East Construction Expo, and attended UKREiiF 2025.
