Yesterday, Croydon Commitment brought businesses, schools and community organisations together for a careers event at Woodcote High School, helping Year 10 students gain valuable insight into the world of work.
Alongside volunteers from OCS, Superdrug, Amazon and Croydon Drop In, our Social Value Manager was pleased to represent Buxton Building Contractors, sharing career experiences, discussing opportunities within construction and supporting students through interview practice and practical careers advice.

The students' enthusiasm, thoughtful questions and willingness to get involved made the sessions a real success.
Thank you to Croydon Commitment for organising such a worthwhile event, Woodcote High School for the warm welcome, and everyone who volunteered their time.
Opportunities like these help create lasting social value by inspiring the next generation and strengthening the links between education and industry.
