A Standout Achievement in a Demanding Year of Study and Site Work

We’re always proud to see our team members growing their careers while taking on new challenges and we’re especially pleased to recognise a fantastic achievement by one of our own, George Riddles.
After three years of hard work and determination, George has graduated from the University of Greenwich with a First Class Honours in Construction Management. That would be an impressive result on its own but it’s made even more so by the fact that he’s been managing the 12 Claremont project in Hastings as Site Manager since April last year, all while completing his studies.

Balancing the demands of a live construction site with the pressures of a university degree is no easy feat. The past year in particular has been full-on, with tight deadlines, long days, and more than a few plates spinning at once. But George has handled it with real commitment, and with the support of the Buxton team, he’s seen both the project and his studies through to success.
Now, with his degree complete, George is focusing on the final step in his apprenticeship: the End Point Assessment, which will lead to chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Building, a well-deserved next step in his professional journey.
We’re proud to celebrate this achievement and look forward to seeing what’s next.
Well done from all of us at Buxton.
