An apprenticeship at Buxton offers a structured route into a long-term career in construction.
Programmes typically last up to five years, offering an opportunity to 'earn while you learn', whilst providing stability, recognised qualifications, and clear progression. Applicants should have completed, or be due to complete this year, a Level 3 qualification such as A Levels, a BTEC, or an equivalent qualification.
Successful candidates will choose a career pathway based on your interests and strengths:
• Quantity Surveying – commercial management of projects including managing project finances, setting and controlling project budgets, agreeing costs, ensuring value for money and agreeing contracts with our supply chain.
• Site Management – project management of projects including overseeing day-to-day site activity, coordinating trades, maintaining health and safety standards, setting and monitoring of project programmes and quality control
• Estimating – working at pre-construction stage, reviewing drawings and specifications, quantifying works, pricing of works and calculating overall project costs by working closely with other members of the preconstruction team to agree project resources, logistics and programme requirements.
What an apprenticeship with Buxton offers:
• Earn while you learn
• Fully funded college or university tuition
• A salary from day one
• Hands-on experience on live projects
• Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced colleagues
• Recognised qualifications and clear career progression
Buxton supports apprentices at different stages of their training, reflecting a long-term commitment to developing talent and investing in the future of the construction industry.
