Buxton at the House of Lords: Supporting Care Leavers

This week, the House of Lords provided the backdrop for the parliamentary launch of Drive Forward Foundation's latest research on care leavers and apprenticeships.

Buxton were pleased to be invited, with Managing Director, David Norman and our Social Value Manager, Jamie Clancy-Toomey attending to hear first-hand why this work matters. With only 2% of care leavers entering apprenticeships and over 40% classified as NEET, the need for action is clear.

Hearing directly from care experienced young people was particularly powerful, with one standout message: "Systems must rise to meet the potential"

We're proud to support this mission. In partnership with E-Tec group and Drive Forward. we recently delivered an impact that led to two young NEET participants securing employment, and we look forward to supporting more young people into meaningful careers.
