Charterhouse School - Stonework

Works within the cloisters and courtyard at Charterhouse School are progressing well.

Our specialist mason is currently laying, cramping & tying new stone plinths, jambs & mullions to the newly formed openings, whilst the heads are being restrained to newly erected steel-work.

The existing ashlar stone that was retained during the demolition works is being expertly dressed and pointed to create the outer skin.

Buxton are carrying out the alteration and refurbishment of an existing kitchen, dining room, storage areas, WC's and offices to form a new Café servery, dining areas, new kitchen with ancillary areas and offices.
