Inspiring the Next Generation into Construction

Supporting young people into construction is an important part of the social value we aim to deliver through our projects. We work with schools, training providers and community organisations to help young people understand the opportunities available within the industry and to give them practical exposure to real construction environments.
Over the past year this activity has grown significantly. Through school engagement, volunteering and structured work experience placements, we have connected with more than a thousand young people and helped provide insight into potential careers in construction.

It also includes a case study showing how targeted work experience can help young people, particularly those facing barriers to employment, gain confidence, develop practical skills and gain a clearer understanding of possible career pathways.
