Last week, Buxton partnered with The Etec Group to deliver a powerful work experience programme for seven NEET young people, referred by Drive Forward Foundation and Newham Council. The participants consisted of NEET Care-levers and Newham residents, now being supported through our social value commitments on our new project at Lady Helen Seymour House.

Across the week, the group took part in resilience workshops, hands-on scaffolding sessions with Mattison Scaffolding, an immersive VR design experience with Skillspire, and a behind-the-scenes tour of Buxton’s Gorilla Kingdom rebuild at London Zoo.

We’re proud to have achieved 100% retention, with every participant leaving with training, interviews and skill plans within Buxton, Etec or across our supply chain. This programme shows what’s possible when organisations choose collaboration in impact over competition.

A huge thank you to all our partners, and to the young people, whose energy, engagement and ambition made the week truly inspiring.
