The Pineapples are a national awards programme that recognise projects making a genuine contribution to the built environment, with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and long-term impact on people and places. The Healthy Homes category highlights housing that supports wellbeing through energy efficiency, comfort, and affordability. As principal contractor, we delivered the scheme for Phoenix Community Housing, providing 24 new affordable homes within the Bellingham Estate.
With the help of our amazing subcontractors, the project has delivered Passivhaus-standard homes that support lower energy use, healthier indoor environments, and reduced running costs for residents. It is encouraging to see smaller, carefully considered housing schemes recognised at a national level.
