Supporting Future Talent at Buxton

Last week, we were delighted to welcome local student Sam to Buxton for a week of work experience. During his time with us, he spent time with our Surveying, Estimating, Business Development & Marketing, Design, and Social Value teams, learning about the different roles that help deliver successful projects.
To bring his learning to life, Sam also joined two site visits, giving him the opportunity to see how our teams' work translates into real projects on site. He finished the week by delivering a presentation summarising his experience and what he had learned.
Sam told us he thoroughly enjoyed his time at Buxton, gaining new skills and building his confidence throughout the week. Arriving with an interest in becoming an electrician, he left with a new appreciation for Quantity Surveying as a potential career path.
We thoroughly enjoyed supporting Sam during his placement and are proud to play a part in helping young people explore the exciting career opportunities available within the construction industry.
