Supporting Future Talent – Work Experience Placement at Buxton

In October, Buxton Building Contractors welcomed Ranjeet onto the 43–47 Mecklenburgh Square project as part of our commitment to supporting talent entering the construction industry. Ranjeet recently completed his master’s in construction project management (CIOB accredited) and was eager to gain practical on-site experience to complement his academic achievements.

Originally from India, Ranjeet moved to the UK in 2023. Prior to undertaking his master’s degree, he completed a bachelor’s in civil engineering and developed a strong interest in the delivery and coordination of construction projects. As he began exploring opportunities in project management, Ranjeet saw real value in spending time on a live construction site to understand the practical dynamics, challenges, and decision-making processes involved.

During his placement, Ranjeet has worked closely with George Riddles, Site Manager at Buxton, gaining day-to-day, hands-on experience. From shadowing site coordination and safety procedures to observing subcontractor management and programme planning, Ranjeet has demonstrated an exceptional willingness to learn and contribute. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and technical understanding have made him a welcome addition to the team.
