Buxton have secured a new £6.1m project for The United Synagogue. The site is located North of London and will expand the existing Jewish Cemetery; creating new facilities and extensive landscaped areas.
Building works include a reception building, mortuary buildings, covered colonnades and two new prayer halls circling the linear park with additional parking for visitors.
The external walls to the prayer halls and cohanim will be constructed in rammed earth by a specialist Australian company. Landscape works include construction of balancing ponds and ditches, pedestrian bridges, culvert, fencing, hand surfacing, topsoil and planting.
